About
Built from both sides of the corridor
Our founding story
Mirai Consulting was founded by Matt Więckowski and Zekai Xu — a Polish-Chinese partnership forged at Lund University in Sweden, with roots reaching to Fudan University in Shanghai and Zhejiang University in Hangzhou.
Matt brings strategy consulting experience from Shanghai, Geneva, and the Nordic tech ecosystem. Zekai brings deep research expertise on Chinese diaspora communities in Europe and years of cross-cultural program coordination. Together, they saw the same gap from both sides of the corridor: organizations crossing between China and Europe don't just need advice. They need someone who coordinates, translates — not just words, but systems and cultures — and makes things actually happen.
The name Mirai (未来) means 'future' — a deliberate choice for a firm that helps clients build what comes next, across borders.
Our mission
We believe cross-border business works best when both sides truly understand each other — not just the words, but the systems, cultures, and unspoken expectations.
Operating principles
- 1.Commercially useful, compliance-oriented
- 2.Multilingual in everything we do
- 3.Local depth, corridor-wide perspective
- 4.Trusted coordination — we make things work, not just advise
